Vis-à-Vis Layout & Spacious Living Area

The Tacoma 800XL uses a classic vis-à-vis layout with two Queen-size “Midnight” Bedrooms located at opposite ends of the tent. As a result, you and your group get private sleeping zones with quieter, more separated nights. Moreover, the central living area sits between the bedrooms, giving generous communal space for cooking, dining or relaxing together. In addition, large Diamond Clear windows flood the living zone with natural light — while roll-away toggled curtains provide privacy when needed. Consequently, the tent feels both airy and usable for a variety of activities, whether you’re socialising or resting.

Durable Materials & Reliable Weather Protection

The tent uses Sentinel / Dynamic Weave 100™ polyester fabric, woven from 70D and 100D threads for durability while keeping pack size reasonable. The flysheet carries a 4,000 mm hydrostatic head (HH) waterproof rating — ensuring reliable protection against rain and damp. Meanwhile, all seams come factory-taped for watertight integrity and the groundsheet is fully sewn-in to block damp and drafts. The fabric also uses ColourLok™ Eco treatment for enhanced UV resistance and fade-resistance over time.

Comfort, Ventilation & Family-Ready Features

The tent includes the brand’s AirZone™ ventilation system, combining high- and low-level vents with mesh panels to promote airflow and reduce condensation — which helps keep the interior fresh even on warm nights. The “Midnight” Bedrooms feature darkened fabric that reduces early-morning light — letting occupants sleep longer when the sun rises.  Additionally, each bedroom has storage pockets for personal items, and a toggled internal divider lets you split or combine sleeping zones depending on your group.

The Vango Tacoma 800XL Poled Tent frame uses PowerFlex® fibreglass poles, which are colour-coded for intuitive pitching.  Pre-angled poles improve internal height and head-room while enhancing stability. The tent also features a TBS® II tension-band system to brace poles in strong or windy conditions for improved resilience. For convenience, it comes with an oversized carry bag, pegging kit with high-visibility guylines, and a removable groundsheet protector to help prolong floor life.

TBS®II Tension Band System – Ensures the tent performs in adverse conditions, especially in strong, changeable winds. When tensioned, the bands brace the pole at 3 points, and reduce sideways movement. Adjust TBS®II to remove slack. Do not over tension, as this may deform the poles.
