Give yourself more room at camp with the TentBox FreeStander Awning. Completely separate from your vehicle and roof tent, it creates a practical space for cooking, eating and relaxing.

Unlike a vehicle-mounted awning, the FreeStander stays in place when you drive away. Therefore, you can head out for the day without packing up your entire camp first.

The clever 2-in-1 design also gives you more flexibility. Use the outer shelter on its own for quick shade and cover. Alternatively, clip in the included inner pod to create a fully enclosed living space with a built-in groundsheet, mesh windows and plenty of ventilation.

Freestanding TentBox Awning

The TentBox FreeStander Awning doesn’t need to attach to your car or TentBox. As a result, you can set it up wherever it works best on your pitch.

With a generous 3 x 3m footprint and 2.2m height, there’s plenty of space for a camping table, chairs and other essentials.

60-Second Shelter Setup

Need some quick shelter? The outer section uses a pop-up design and can be set up in around 60 seconds.

There’s no need to thread traditional tent poles. Simply unfold the shelter, secure it correctly and your covered space is ready.

For a more enclosed setup, add the clip-in inner pod. The complete setup can be ready in under five minutes.

Open Shelter or Enclosed Living Space

Choose the setup that suits your trip.

On warm days, use the outer shelter by itself to create an open and airy covered area. Then, when you want more protection and privacy, clip in the inner pod.

The inner features an integrated groundsheet to help keep water, mud and draughts outside. Mesh windows also provide airflow while helping keep insects at bay.

Ready for Changing Weather

Both layers feature a 5,000mm waterproof coating, giving you dependable protection when the weather changes.

In addition, the material provides UPF50+ sun protection. TentBox has also tested the FreeStander in winds up to 38mph (61km/h) when correctly secured.

Roof vents, mesh windows and an air gap between the layers help fresh air circulate through the enclosed setup.

Drive Away Without Packing Up

One of the biggest advantages of a freestanding awning is the freedom it gives you during your trip.

Because the FreeStander doesn’t connect to your vehicle, you can leave your camping furniture and other equipment set up inside. Then, simply drive away to explore and return to your pitch later.

It’s particularly useful for TentBox campers who want the extra living space of an awning without tying their vehicle to the campsite.
