The Cadac Carri Chef 40 BBQ/Paella Pan QR is a high-performance outdoor cooking system that brings serious barbecue and paella-style cooking to campsites, patios and gardens. This updated 2026 model features dual-height legs and an integrated Quick Release (QR) gas coupling for faster setup and pack-down. It gives you both a 39 cm ceramic-coated BBQ grid and a 36 cm ceramic GreenGrill paella pan, letting you grill, sear and cook one-pot meals from breakfasts to curries.

Enhanced Performance & Quality Features

The Carri Chef 40 uses automatic Piezo ignition for dependable starts every time. Its adjustable foot on one leg ensures stability on uneven ground, which is ideal for campsites or gravelled areas. The stay-cool dome lid includes a built-in thermometer and can hook onto the side as a wind guard. The utility shelf gives you easy access to tools and condiments while you cook.

Heat is distributed evenly across both the BBQ grid and paella pan thanks to the ceramic GreenGrill coating, which promotes rapid heat-up and consistent cooking. The removable enamelled fat pan with flame peep holes makes cleaning easier by catching grease and letting you lift it out when you’re done.

Modular & Portable Design

This barbecue is part of Cadac’s modular 40 series, so all cooking surfaces from the range are interchangeable. Change to pizza stones, planchas or griddles with ease. The two-part tripod legs give dual cooking heights of around 93 cm or 70 cm, accommodating different user preferences and surfaces. When not in use, the unit packs down compactly into the included storage bag with secure leg holders for easy transport and storage.
