Care & Maintenance

Remove dust regularly with a clean, soft brush and wipe the teak with a clean, damp cloth when required. Avoid abrasive chemicals and cleaning agents, and remove spills, tree sap and bird droppings promptly.

As teak is a natural material, exposure to changing weather conditions can cause the timber to swell or dry slightly. Regular cleaning and suitable Kettler wood-care treatments can help maintain and protect the wood.

Kettler recommends applying suitable hardwood treatments regularly throughout the year. During winter and particularly wet periods, store the bench in a cool, dry and well-ventilated location where possible to help minimise excessive expansion or shrinkage.
