This pergola is the perfect reason to take mealtimes and gathering outdoors this season. Thanks to the tilting double-layer louvres, you can switch between a closed, sheltered space for when the weather is less than perfect, and an open top to allow sunlight to come flooding in. This pergola ultimately allows you to choose between lounging in sunshine or shade, and provides shelter should it start to rain at a moment’s notice – typical of British weather!

There is a brilliant built-in drainage system which prevents you from having to open the louvred roof to let water drain. Any rainwater that lands on the louvres flows into U-shaped channels. From here, the water flows from the roof and into channels in the pergola framework. Once in the horizontal framework, the rainwater will then flow into the inside of the hollow pergola legs and vertically down to the ground. This genius system means that you’ll never see the water draining off of the pergola. If you were to open the louvres when wet, the U-shaped channels prevent rainwater from dripping under the sheltered area, and getting your garden furniture wet.

Our weather ready pergolas offer you a sheltered option for you and your garden accessories to stay dry in rainy conditions. However, in heavy downpours, there’s always a chance your pergola may leak. Just as you would with your house, we ask you to check the pergola gutters are free of debris to keep the pergola in good condition.

This pergola will require assembly and we recommend 2-3 people are required to safely lift and assemble the pergola. The build time is approx. 3-4 hours and should be positioned on a solid and hard surface, like concrete bases. In order for the drainage system to do its job, the pergola should be secured to a patio that has a gradual decline. Most patios would naturally have this, in order for rain water to flow away from the house. Please ensure the pergola legs are securely bolted to the floor using the holes within each leg base plate, and secured using the expansion bolts which are supplied as standard.

Our pergolas do not require planning permission. However, if you are unsure we always recommend contacting your Local Planning Office.

Please note that, if you plan to purchase one of the privacy screens, sold separately, you will need to drill into the pergola top and legs in order to attach this securely. Because of the new in-line design of the screen winder on the 2023 model, you can now use optional privacy screens on all four sides of the pergola (a 6m side takes 2 x 3m screens – seen here – with single 3m screens on the other sides – ie. 6 screens in total for all-round privacy.)
