This is a great awning for those looking for extra space when travelling with their motorhome or camper van.
The Touring drive-away awning design comes from Kampa Dometic's Hayling tent model, which has been very popular in the last few years and now, for 2018, they have brought it out in a drive-away version. The touring awning comes complete with a 4-berth inner tent that can be divided into 2 x 2-berth with a zipped divider or even be used for storage. Fully sewn-in groundsheet, mesh doors, storage pockets, front and side doors plus a door in the drive-away tunnel.
The Touring AIR is designed to sit alongside your vehicle, providing the maximum amount of space without extending beyond your pitch. The large connecting tunnel can easily be attached to your vehicle and has a large door on the side. This tunnel is spacious enough to be used for additional storage. The Touring has a large front canopy, providing protection from both good and bad weather and allows the front door to be opened when it's raining. Once inside, you'll find a huge living space that has plenty of windows - all with zip-up blinds - and three doors, all with mosquito-mesh screens.
This awning is made from a Classic polycotton material, so is better at regulating temperature for those looking to go away for longer periods of time in a hotter countries - like the South of France or Spain - but also great for weekends, festivals and holidays away. With polycotton, it will stay cooler inside during hotter weather, but also keeps you warmer at night as the air cools and the natural content in the material 'breathes'. Polycotton tents are also the longest-lasting due to the strength of the cotton, it lasting longer against UV damage and the fact that it won't rip as easily as some polyester tents. Another thing customers tend to like about classic polycotton tents is that they're quieter in the wind. Some tents with synthetic material sound like you're in a plastic bag - these tents are quieter!
You also have a number of optional extras available for this model - such as the Carpet and Footprint, an extension canopy to extend your tent, optional vestibule which closes-up the front of your tent, giving you more room inside.
